Group Setup
Groups are used to combine different menu items into one location so they can all share common settings.
You can choose to edit one of the existing groups from the 'Select Group' list or add a new one by using the
button located along the top of the screen.
If you choose to add a new group you will be prompted to give it a name and Group ID number. Group names can be repeated but should be unique to avoid confusion. Group ID numbers must be unique but do not have to be sequential.
Once a group has either been created as a new group or selected for editing you have access to the settings page and will be able to make changes to it:

Group ID: Unique group identifier
Group Name: Friendly name to identify group
Course Name: Used to differentiate courses in full-service menus to control delay sending to printers and VDUs

|
Combine Item Print: when set to YES the system will attempt to combine all of the ordered items from the group on the print slips. (This feature is still in beta testing) Catering Charge and QTY: If 'Catering Group is set to YES you will be given the option to set the Catering Charge and Charge QTY. This allows you to set a predetermined amount per group items ordered as a catering charge. This typically takes the place of any delivery charges if the order is delivered. The catering charge is determined by charging 'X' amount by 'Y' quantity. In this example we have a charge of $.25 per every four (4) items: |

This means that if the customer orders any 4 items from this group they will be charged $.25, if they order 5-8 items they will be charged $.50 and the charge will jump to $.75 upon the 9th item ordered and so on:
