The Retail interface for PDQ POS uses UPC codes to track and ring up items, items without an associated UPC code is treated as an open item.

You can directly ring up items using a Bar Code Scanner to retrieve a UPC linked item or the Search button to manually choose an item from the store inventory:

Use the button to enter in non-inventory (open) items. These items are generally small items where it may not be practical to enter into inventory with a unique UPC code but still need to be tracked as sold:

- The loyalty feature allows you to reward repeat customers with extra promotions and discounts. Loyalty operations are configured in the above store Enterprise level.

As items are run up either by UPC of Misc Item lookup they will be placed in the order pad in middle of the screen:

The Order Pad tracks each item run up as well as the quantity. You can easily add or subtract from the purchased quantity by using the + and - buttons located next to each item description. You cannot lower a quantity to zero using these buttons and instead must do so using the X button located on the far right of the order pad. This X will remove the item from the order.

The Price field for each item shows the sale price of the item while the EXT Price is the total value of that item.

Example: sell 5 lottery tickets at $1.00 each for an extended price of $5.00:
